Honey and Spice Glazed Pork Chops

Honey and Spiced Glaze Pork Chops is an excellent quick weeknight dinner. All you really need to have beforehand is the porkchop. If you have frozen porkchop in the freezer, just make sure to take it out to the fridge before going to work! This recipe is adapted from the Cooking Light magazine.

  • 4 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 4 boneless center-cut loin pork chops (1 lb) – about 1/2 inch thick
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl
  2. Sprinkle pork with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over high heat.  Cook pork for 2 minutes on each side or until browned.  Reduce heat to medium-low and add honey mixture.  Cook 10 minutes or until done, turning pork once.

Cinnamon Apple Pork Chops

A weeknight dinner that takes about 5 mins to prepare and 15 mins to cook.  2 pieces for dinner, 2 pieces for lunch.  The recipe I found uses butter, but I used canola oil.  You can substitue butter for better taste.

  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons of chopped pecans
  • 4 pork loin chops
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoons of ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • vegetable oil or butter

  1. In a bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
  2. In a saucepan, add oil, cook pork chops for 4-5 minutes on each side.  Sprinkle salt on each side.  Remove from pan.
  3. Add oil to pan.  Stir in apple, pecan and the brown sugar mixture.
  4. Cook and stir until apples are tender.  About 4 min.
  5. Combine pork chops and sauce on a plate.  Ready to serve!
